To play Pick 4 Plus, you need to find a New Mexico Lottery retailer and follow a few quick steps. A Pick 4 playslip can look quite busy, but it is actually really easy to fill in quickly.
The guide below outlines how to play Pick 4. You can purchase tickets for the Day drawing until 1:00 PM MT, and for the Evening draw until 9:30 PM MT. The numbers are selected immediately after ticket sales stop.
Choose four numbers between 0 and 9 - one from each column on your playslip. If you don't want to choose your own, opt for a Quick Pick and the lottery computer will give you a random set.
Specify your play type from the available options - Straight, Box, Straight/Box, Combo or a Pair (Front, Middle or Back). See the Ways To Play page for descriptions of each one.
Decide whether you want to play the Day draw, the Evening draw, or both. You can play the same numbers for up to 14 consecutive days.
Check your selections, then pay for your tickets before the cut-off time. The cost of a ticket is fixed at $1 per play, although the cost of a Combo depends on how many ways you play.
You can play your numbers for any day within the next week, just by marking the appropriate box in the Advance Play section of your playslip. If no day is selected, the play will automatically be generated for the next available draw.
To win a prize, you have to match all the numbers you have selected to the ones that are drawn. The numbers must match as per the conditions of your play type, so if you are trying to get every digit in the correct position (a Straight), there is no prize for matching them in a different order. Your odds of winning, and the prize you are playing for, both depend on your play type. Head over to the Odds and Prizes page to see all the possible payouts.
